Turner Park Summer Lineup Announced

Omaha, Neb. – Omaha’s snow-covered Turner Park will soon be alive with national performers, blockbuster movies and engaging wellness events – a warm thought to help brush back the winter blahs. Once again, Midtown Crossing is rolling out a high-energy, summer-long schedule – May to September – that’s rooted in fun, fresh air and togetherness. 

“We’re inviting everyone in the community to experience and be part of the incredible momentum that’s re-energizing midtown Omaha. Grab drinks and dinner and then focus on enjoying yourself with family and friends,” says Molly Skold, Midtown Crossing’s vice president of marketing and communications. 

All events are open to the public and free* of charge.

Summer Event Line-up:

Yoga Rocks the Park
Sundays, May 5 – June 23
A dynamic weekly outdoor yoga and music festival in Turner Park.

Turner Park Night Market
Fridays, May 31, June 28, July 26, August 30, September 27
A night-time pop-up festival with a host of local vendors, energetic activities and attractions.

Monday Night at the Movies, presented by Alamo Drafthouse Cinema
Mondays, June 3 – July 29
An outdoor movie series with blockbusters and classics alike, served up on a 26-foot inflatable screen.

Big O! Bocce Ball
Summer League: Tuesdays, June 4 – July 23
Fall League: Tuesdays, August 27 – Sep 24
A guaranteed way to have a ball, Big O! Bocce will rally two summer leagues in Turner Park.

Wednesday Workouts, presented by Prairie Life Fitness
Wednesdays, June 5 – August 28
An outdoor, group workout to propel participants toward the weekend. 

Zydeco Festival
Saturday, June 22
Back by popular demand, a full day of foot stompin’ music, Creole- and Cajun-style food and activities.

Jazz on the Green, presented by Omaha Performing Arts

Playing with Fire Festival

A family festival promising amazing art, jazz and R&B entertainment for everyone.

Opera Outdoors

A fun, family-friendly and free opera concert for the community.

NEW Woofstock
Sunday, September 8
Pets are the star at this activity-filled event, new to Turner Park this year.

Chalk Art Festival
Saturday-Sunday, September 14-15
Back for its second year, an eye-popping addition to the city’s arts and culture landscape.

Midtown Crossing’s two parking garages are easily accessible from 33rd, Farnam and Harney Streets. In both garages, the first three hours are free with validation, and visitors pay only $1 for each hour thereafter (with a maximum fee of $10 per 24-hour period).
