Turner Park Announces 2016 Monday Night at the Movies Lineup, sponsored by The University of Nebraska at Omaha

Fresh air, first-rate movies and one really big screen. Back by popular demand, Midtown Crossing is lining up a blockbuster edition of Monday Night at the Movies, sponsored by the University of Nebraska Omaha.

New this year is a partnership with Film Streams, Omaha’s non-profit cinema. Moviegoers will enjoy a special Film Streams feature – Charlie Chaplin’s Modern Times – on Monday, June 20 when the organization’s Ruth Sokolof Theater in North Downtown closes for the first week of the College World Series.

The movie series runs seven weeks, June 6 – July 25. Turner Park opens at 5 p.m. and all outdoor movies – free and open to the public – roll at sunset on a 26-foot outdoor inflatable screen. Chicago Dawg House will sell ‘dawgs and concessions in the park each week.

2016 Monday Night at the Movies Lineup:

“There’s nothing like partnering with Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise and Charlie Chaplin to help bring families, friends and the community together. Treat yourself to dinner, lay out a blanket and plan to pause the ‘to do list’ as we press ‘play’ on what’s become one of our favorite summer traditions,” said Molly Skold, Midtown Crossing’s vice-president of marketing and communications.

For the convenience of guests, Midtown Crossing offers three hours of free garage parking. On-street parking is also free after 9 p.m.
