The Omaha Performing Arts crew along with the hosts, Midtown Crossing, have just figured it out – great music plus a scenic setting. The fact that there are numerous eclectic dining options in walking distance makes this picture-perfect evening even better. Whether it’s pizza to go, a juicy burger and fries or mouth-watering wings in a home-made sauce, the evening is sure to please. Having a grocery store, on-site, makes life easy. Just grab a favorite bottle of wine, chips and salsa, cheese and crackers and you and your music-loving friends have a party. This year’s musical line up is sure to please and includes such talent as Vincent Herring and The Celebration of Life Ensemble, Curley Taylor and Zydeco Trouble and Curtis Stigers. Summer just isn’t complete at Midtown Crossing without the Omaha Farmers Market Night Markets, selected Friday evenings, in Turner Park. Trendy vendors, delicious food, music in a walkable, scenic setting makes for a very enjoyable evening. Bring your furry friends, your kids, your family. This is an excellent way to unwind and usher in the weekend. You’ll be glad you did!
Work-out enthusiasts are enjoying Wednesday Night Workouts sponsored by Methodist Hospital. Free and open to the public, these popular workouts include Piyo, Pound, Zumba, MixxedFit and more! A great way to work up a sweat, hang with friends all in scenic Turner Park.
In its tenth year, Yoga Rocks the Park is back in Turner Park featuring outdoor, all-level yoga classes for all ages. With 16 acres, there’s plenty of room to spread out, downward dog, and stretch your legs and arms. It’s the best way to unwind after a busy weekend and celebrate sun, nature and being in the outdoors. Bring your yoga mat, water, friends and family and prepare to be energized!
