The best kind of neighborhood is the one that has something for everyone – an urban core setting you can stroll, enjoy the scenery and satisfy literally every tastebud. That’s Midtown Crossing – the intersection of everything Omaha.
Midtown Omaha keeps getting better and Midtown Crossing is no exception. It’s the ideal location to meet a friend for lunch, host a birthday party with friends, grab a drink after work, sip on a bubble tea after a workout and indulge in a delicious dinner with all the fixins.
No better place to start than Leadbelly on the corner of 33rd and Farnam Street. Seriously, the Raspberry Beret burger – with candied bacon, fresh onions, house-made raspberry jalapeno jelly on a brioche bun? Who does that? It’s quirky and insanely good and a house favorite, for sure. Wash that burger down with a local brew or freshly made cocktail and you’ve got yourself a freakin’ spectacular meal.
Also on Farnam is Yummy 365 – fresh, seriously fresh, Asian food paired lightly with exotic sauces and tangy aromas. The sesame shrimp is divine. The noodle dishes are crazy satisfying and the atmosphere makes you glad you came for a delicious meal.
Did someone say doughnuts? Yes, Culprit Café did and you simply won’t believe these little wonders of the world. Beignets with Nutella are simply the best with a warm cup of joe or Macha Latte. The vibe in Culprit Café just feels good. People are laughing, studying and enjoying the best music playlist in the region. Simply the Best on Spotify is a fan favorite. Check it out. Ten bucks says you’ll order the crispy potatoes, biscuits and gravy or an old fashioned when you’re there. It’s just good livin’.
Vegan lovers, look no further. And prepare to convert your eating ways at Modern Love. It’s swanky, for sure, and comfort vegan food is in plentiful supply. Cauliflower buffalo wings, Nachos Molo (and you thought vegan food didn’t include nachos!), fresh salads with veggies, and crazy Mac and Shews (you’re not going to believe what the shews are! YUM). This place is hoppin’, it’s the place to see and be seen and the food is simply delicious.
What you may not know about is the new pizza joint, Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza + Taproom. And when we say pizza… we mean PIZZA. Wood fired pizza, incredible sauce, fresh toppings like applewood bacon, chorizo, veggies and, quite possibly, the BEST tasting crust in the land. It’s fresh, made right in front of your eyes and cooked to perfection in a wood fired oven. Perfection.
Walk a little further west, along the Promenade, and you’ll see Pa Mas Taqueria and Grill – a new FABULICIOUS Latin concept that is authentic as they come. Street tacos, fire grilled skirt steak, marinaded mojo pork, hand-crafted cocktails, get this, fresh squeezed lemon lime margaritas on tap. It’s lively, it’s hip and it’s simply delicious. Stop by and meet Josh – the owner – he’ll inspire you with stories of his grandmother (the best cook EVER) and how his love of food and cooking came from her. And, if all this isn’t perfection, imagine great food, great friends, a fresh margarita in your hand sitting on the patio in SCENIC Turner Park.
Keep walking and you’ll see why Midtown Crossing is Happy Hour CENTRAL. You’ll notice that Proof Whiskey Bar and Craft Cocktails has moved to its permanent new location on the west end of Turner Park. It’s swanky as ever, the bar will blow your mind and the cocktails are better than ever. They offer hundreds of whiskies from around the world – an impressive collection. And the decadent wine list will please every wine connoisseur you know. Joel and team are ready to serve you.
Next door, Rays Wings Pizza and Drinks is sure to please. Now in their new location on the west side of Turner Park, they’re one of Omaha’s most popular, go-to sports bars. Go ahead, order 50 wings. 200 wings. hey’re some of the best wings in the area and the sauce, oh my, the homemade sauces. Savory, sweet and delectable. Never fear, there are burgers too. Juicy burgers with all the toppings. And, yes, salads, tenders, sandwiches and COLD beverages. Yum!
To top off all these satisfying meals – head over to Cold Stone Creamery for some of the freshest, creamiest, high quality ice cream around. This ice cream is churned from the finest ingredients and mixed with candies, nuts and more – such goodness! And it’s fun to watch the folks prepare your custom ice cream treat on a frozen granite stone. Nothing better, honestly, that walking around scenic Turner Park, or grabbing a nearby bench and enjoying a delicious cake batter waffle cone! Heaven!
C’mon over to the DELICIOUS intersection of EVERYTHING Omaha. We can’t wait to serve you!
