The Monday Night at the Movies showing of La La Land – cancelled due to the weather earlier this month – has been rescheduled for Monday, August 7.
Organizers opted to add the La La Land showing after receiving many requests from the public for the Oscar Award-winning movie. To enhance the experience that evening, dance instructors from Vintage Ballroom will be offering free lesson in Turner Park, a chance for interested moviegoers to learn how to dance like La La Land’s Mia and Sebastian.
Sponsored by the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Monday Night at the Movies is free and open to the public. Turner Park opens at 5 P.M. All outdoor movies start at sunset on a 26-foot inflatable screen.
Moviegoers can buy dinner, snacks and dessert on-site from Chicago Dawg House and Cold Stone Creamery – and enjoy bag toss, ping pong and giant chess. As an added convenience, Midtown Crossing offers its guests three hours of free garage parking. On-street parking is also free after 9 p.m.
