(OMAHA, Neb.) July 12, 2021 – After a year off, the Night Market returns to Turner Park for the 2021 season on Friday, July 16! Presented by the Omaha Farmers Market, the Night Market offers a vibrant atmosphere filled with Omaha’s trendy vendors, delicious food and drink, live entertainment, and more, all in Omaha’s scenic Turner Park.
“The Night Market is a great way to kick off your weekend,” says Amanda Lustgraaf, marketing communications coordinator for Midtown Crossing. “We are thrilled to host this engaging event in the heart of midtown Omaha and nestled amid an eclectic community, including five retail openings this summer.”
The 2021 Night Market takes place from 6 pm to 10 pm on July 16 and 30, August 13 and 27, and September 10 in Turner Park.
At the Night Market’s core is its marketplace of more than 40 local vendors offering a wide variety of handmade and upcycled goods, along with various non-profits providing interactive activities. Delicious food and beverages will be offered within the marketplace. Attendees who purchase alcoholic beverages within the marketplace can stroll the market with beer or wine in hand. Live music and entertainment will also be featured at each market.
“The Night Market has a very different ambiance compared to our traditional farmers markets,” says Vic Gutman, executive director of the Omaha Farmers Market. “Its nighttime hours and overall party feel make it a unique market experience.”
Located in Turner Park, the Night Market is free, open to the public, and dog-friendly. The Night Market is also part of the long standing legacy of open markets within the City of Omaha, a concept started nearly 100 years ago on the corner of 11th and Jackson with the Omaha City Market.
In addition to partnering with Midtown Crossing, the Night Market’s supporters include Park Omaha and media sponsors KETV Channel 7 and Sweet 98.5.
